The Network was the vision of so many people in the western New York area but Pamela (Pam) Henderson was the driving force behind its existence today. Through diligence and perseverance, Ms. Henderson recruited the right people and organized a grass roots effort to create the “Network”. The Network was created for the sole purpose of developing a network mechanism for human resource, equal employment opportunity and diversity professionals. When Rita Hubbard-Robinson was recruited she and Pam quickly began to reach out to their allies to participate in establishment meetings.

Eventually, we would like to partner or chapter with the NAAAHR to take advantage of national minority HR communications and other partnership benefits. Last, during a recent interview, Pam spoke of where she would like to see the Network in five years. Her response was, “l I hope we become a resource for the community to help with information (surveys, think tank) or utilization of our skill sets (interviewing, best practices). We also hope to develop good leaders within the group to make positive change at their workplace and within the community.” Let’s work together to make this happen.
